$1500 grant for High School Seniors planning to attend RTC

$500 for college

Purpose:
What does $1500 for college tuition mean to you? We want to recognize high school seniors who plan to pursue their future career and training at Renton Technical College. The RTC Foundation grant of $1500 applies to first quarter tuition for students entering RTC for fall quarter. Applicants are selected based on merit and financial need.

Eligibility & Instructions:
The grant applicant must show intent to enroll at RTC for the fall quarter immediately after high school graduation. For more information about enrolling at RTC, you can call (425) 235-5840, or online at https://rtc.edu/enrollment-services:

  1. Apply for admission at RTC
  2. Meet with an RTC advisor/counselor
  3. Register for classes

Application: The application for the Rayfield Family First Quarter Education Grant for the 2023-2024 school year is now closed. Applications are on a first-come, first-serve basis. The 2024-2025 application will open sometime in winter quarter 2024. The criteria for the Rayfield Family First Quarter Education Grant:

  1. $1,500 grant for a graduate from any area high school, including outside of the Renton School District
  2. Grant can be used for tuition, books, tools, equipment, or any required training and classroom needs
  3. Student demonstrates financial need as verified by the RTC Financial Aid office
  4. Student has above a 2.0 high school GPA at the time of graduation
  5. Student must show intent to enroll in RTC for the fall or winter quarters immediately after high school graduation
  6. Complete primary steps of enrollment at RTC
