Seattle culinary icon Tom Douglas entertained and delighted diners with his delicious dishes and his signature humor at the 2018 Norma Cugini Celebrity Chef Dinner. The dinner and silent auction raised over $28,000 to fund culinary scholarships. RTC student culinarians worked alongside Douglas to prepare a unique four-course dinner for the 48 guests in the RTC Demonstration Kitchen.
Chef Douglas spent two days working with the students who recognized the immeasurable value of spending time with a Master Chef. Once students shared, “Chef Douglas has inspired me in new ways and I am more committed to pursuing a culinary career than ever before.”
The dinner is named for the late Norma Cugini, one of RTC Foundation’s founding Board members, to honor her passion for culinary arts education.
